What type of wetsuit gloves should I choose?

When selecting neoprene gloves, it is important to know what the temperatures of the waters that you will be in. Neoprene gloves are similar to wetsuits in that their temperature rating is impacted by the thickness of the gloves and the seam construction. Additionally, if you are going into deep waters, compression can impact the effectiveness of your gloves and you may want to consider thicker ones. What are mesh skin gloves?

Mesh skin gloves are neoprene gloves that are worn with a wetsuit. They do not have an external laminate on the surface of the rubber. This allows for them to not absorb water on the surface of the glove. These gloves are often worn by surfers and those who do surface water sports. You can wear them doing other sports like diving, paddle sports, swimming, and jet skiing. If you are doing sports where you may be in contact with abrasive surfaces, a wetsuit glove with a polyester/nylon lamination will provide more durability. The lamination on gloves is similar to the lamination on wetsuits. This is so that the rubber does not tear easily.

Paddle Gloves

When swimming or doing sports like surfing, paddle gloves can give you an advantage. Paddle gloves have webbed fingers and can give more power on the stroke. Paddle gloves can be worn when surfing and open water swimming. Paddle gloves are made in two styles, there is a neoprene paddle glove that provides some additional warmth and there are paddle gloves that are made of a lycra material and are worn in warm tropical waters.
