If you are like me and tired to suits too long this is for you. I had to share my experience because it can be very challenging to find solutions. I wear a size 18S, no more legs and arms that are too long. No suit can fit all bodies perfectly but this one fits me better than any other suit out there. Do your measurements. You don't want your suit too big. Get out a string and measure the diameter of your largest measurements for bust waist hips. Once I had my measurements, I fell into the 20 in some measurements. This suit stretches a ton so you have to go down a full size from the chart. My chest was in the 18 and my hips bigger, you can't have a suit too big in the chest, it won't keep you warm. My suit accommodates my waist and hips even though they were in the bigger size. I recommend getting help from pleasuresports, they are experts at wetsuits. I am losing weight and my suit still fits me well.
Did I actually think I'd find a plus size women's wetsuit that fit me ? No way. As I tried this on I was waiting for the ultimate disappointment. As I pulled the zipper closed I couldn't believe it - IT FITS!! I expected it to be too tight in the arms, it wasn't. Or to not fit right around my trunk, but it was perfect. I must be dreaming. I am happy. And the ordering process was great. The sizing information was very accurate. One reviewer who was a size 20 (as I am) said to order the wetsuit one size down (an 18 in this case) since the suit was pretty stretchy. I called an asked a customer service rep about that advice, and they said yes. That turned out to be the right advice. I'm size 20, I ordered an 18 & it fits great.
I spoke to the experts at pleasure sports and they guided me through the size chart. The suit runs one size too big in the plus sizes. So if you are a 16 go down a size, the same for 18 go down to 16. The suit is very stretchy and they were right, when my suit arrived, I was not a 20, I was an 18. I am not tall and the length was not an issue for me as I thought it might be. Really made to fit women.
To swim in cold weather you need to buy wetsuit that size down. If it’s fit with room to move and breathe, in water it will be hard to move. I returned 16 size( this is my size for clothes), bought 14 size. The length is a problem also. I’m petit, even with size 16S, it was lengthy, so I bought 14 shorty. For now it’s good
I use my new suit for kayaking, swimming, and scuba diving. I read a lot about Henderson and how the suits are made very well to hold up in waters for compression. I also read about the stretch and how they are known for stretch. ALL ARE TRUE. While I don't dive all the time, my suit has been on dive after dive and it is not breaking down the neoprene. I mostly swim and kayak and that stretch makes paddling natural. My swim sessions are so much longer because I am not freezing. Oh, why did I wait so long to get a wetsuit? I am having the best time right now. I am actually losing weight because I am so active now that I am feeling so confident in the water. I also bought swim socks and a squid lid hood and I couldn't be happier. I have tried 2 other brands for women and they were more money and not half the quality of this wetsuit. Look no further and learn from the rest of us. Thanks again
